Parent Support

Parenting can feel overwhelming at times — especially when your child is struggling with attention, learning, anxiety, emotional regulation, social challenges, or school-related stress. My goal is to help parents better understand their child’s unique strengths and needs while providing practical, compassionate support along the way.

As both a licensed educational psychologist and a parent, I understand that families often need guidance beyond testing and reports. I work collaboratively with parents to help them navigate school systems, understand evaluations and diagnoses, advocate effectively during IEP and 504 meetings, and create supportive routines at home.

Areas of Parent Support

  • Understanding ADHD, anxiety, autism, learning differences, and executive functioning challenges

  • Navigating the IEP, 504, and special education process

  • Parent consultation and coaching

  • School advocacy and collaboration support

  • Behavior and emotional regulation strategies

  • Homework, organization, and executive functioning support

  • Understanding cognitive and academic testing results

  • Guidance following a new diagnosis

  • Supporting self-esteem and resilience in children and teens

  • Recommendations for therapies, tutoring, and community resources

Parent Consultation Services

I offer parent consultations via phone or video to discuss concerns, review records or previous evaluations, answer questions, and help families determine next steps. These sessions can be helpful for:

  • Parents who feel “stuck” or unsure where to begin

  • Understanding school recommendations or eligibility decisions

  • Reviewing outside evaluations

  • Developing practical supports at home and school

  • Preparing for school meetings

  • Discussing whether an evaluation may be appropriate

A Strength-Based Approach

I strongly believe in viewing children through a strength-based lens. Every child has areas of growth as well as unique talents, interests, and abilities that deserve recognition and support. My approach focuses on helping families better understand the “why” behind behaviors and learning patterns while creating realistic, supportive strategies that help children thrive.
